Hello Potential Landlords! First and foremost, I am looking for a hopefully "private" landlord who loves the ARTS. As someone who wants to get back into the acting/music world, ideally I want to find a rental which would cater to my need for excellent soundproofing. Either that, or a half or small basement where I could vocalize and play some piano and guitar without bothering neighbors within "normal" hours on weeknights and on the weekend. The music practice isn't a deal breaker, but highly desirable/preferable. This would be a 1-bedroom in the form of a Carriage House, Cottage, Duplex, or very large studio-type space, etc. I am looking for a rental that is very private and well-maintained. I don't need the perks of a sauna, rec room, pool or anything like that. The rental would be relatively close to downtown Portland (no more than 20 minutes and with proximity to the Max/buses) where I'm gainfully employed, in areas such as :Beaverton (reasonably close to Sunset Transit Station)Burlingame/TerwilligerForest ParkHollywood DistrictLadd's AdditionMilwaukieMultnomah VillageOHSU areaSellwoodSW Portland areas nearer downtown & near Max or bus linesSt. John'sUniv. of Portland area (North Portland)However, I am open to something further out if it is reasonably near transit in order that I find a rental where I can practice music.Looking for rent under $1,000 per month, possibly stretchable somewhat with some/all utilities included, that would stay that way until income can meet an increase and a caring, trustworthy landlord (I am a great tenant). Must be indoor Cat friendly - I still have one of my cats (Han) with me (he's 17 and housebroken/well-trained).I am open to a move-in month/date: could be mid-November to January. If you have something that might be coming up or have a unit on your property you hadn't thought of renting before, please contact me with some details about the rental, area, willingness to work with me on the rental price/move-in costs/pet deposit if any.About Me: I am a very responsible, thoughtful, ethical, youthful woman in her 50s, gainfully employed in downtown Portland at a law firm but getting back on my feet after a nearly 2-year period of unemployment after a layoff in 2014 (hence the need for rent under $1,000/mo. or as closely under that as possible). I want to stay long term. With grateful thanks for Serious Replies.
