I'm looking for a position as a property caretaker (or maintenance guy, or farm/ranch hand) in exchange for a room with private bath. I've acted as a property caretaker in the past and, most recently, I oversaw a property with two Victorian houses that had been owned by Edward Hopper, the realist painter. I have experience in basic automotive, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc. Some of the activities I've undertaken include: automotive (oil change; belt replacement; replace wiper motor; replace wiper blades; replace hoses; replace brake pads and rotors; replace shocks; replace lights; replace switches and sensors; replace Pitman seal; replace fuel filter; install new exhaust system), carpentry (built a tool shop; fence/gate work, repair window frames; repair barn door; built bookshelves), electrical (install fixtures; rewire lamps; map household circuits), mechanical (clean firearms, repair a chainsaw; replace solenoid valve on a clothes washer, install new heating element on a clothes dryer), plumbing (solder pipe; replace faucet assembly; repair shutoff valves and spigots; care for swimming pool circulation system; replace water heaters; replace thermocouple on water heaters; install pressure relief valve on water heater; snake waste line to the street; remove clogged 4" line with snap cutter and install connector; remove clogged drain line from bath tub and replace; unclog a water discharge pipe; repair of well pumps on multiple properties), other (reorganize a tool shed; replace window sash cords; replace window panes; clean gutters; cut and split firewood). I've also taken classes in general home maintenance, automotive technology, welding and small engine repair. NOTE: I have no use for boozers/cheaters/druggies/loiterers/thieves/troublemakers, etc. and I don't want to work for, with, or around that element.
