We have a 1 bed, 1 bath with loft apartment in the Riverwood Estates complex in Oak Creek, WI. We're looking to get out of our lease -- more explanation below. We might be willing to help by offering a couple hundred dollars toward your rent each month, if that's something you need. PLEASE note that you must be able to apply to Riverwood Arms Estates and meet their criteria. This is NOT a sublease! We cannot sublet based on our lease. Basics: Rent: $940 a month, $25 per pet per month, so the max you'd pay is $990 Utilities: Hi-speed internet is provided (and decent now that they upgraded it). Tenant pays electric and gas. Heat and stove are electric, water heater is gas. Everything is through WE Energies. Parking: One spot underground is provided. You can park a second car outside. Not hard to find a spot. Storage: Storage area is provided (locked) in the garage. Laundry: Card operated, located on each floor. 3 washers, 3 dryers on our floor. $1.50 per load, $3.00 for a wash AND dry. The card loader is in the office within walking distance. Trash: There's a big dumpster inside the garage. Don't have to go outside to take the trash out. Elevators in the building. Pretty accessible, but our unit with the loft isn't wheelchair friendly. 800-900 sq feet with the loft. Spiral staircase to the upper area. It's a lovely unit, stays VERY warm (we almost never need to use our heat, but it does get hot in summer). Great view, spacious porch, nice and bright. In winter, the highest our electric bill gets is $150. In summer, if you don't run a/c, it's even less. When we ran two a/cs, it was maybe $250 at it's highest. Neighbors are generally nice but can be a little picky. A lot of young professionals, older people, college students. We are looking to get out because our neighbors are sensitive to our dogs barking. We have larger dogs (60+ pounds) who are young and working on training. An older dog or one who isn't easily spooked by lots of noises and chaos would do great here. Our dogs mostly bark because there are a lot of animals outside (chipmunks, geese, owls, there was a coyote once, rabbits) and because there are a lot of kids who scream, which freaks them out. If you're pretty quiet and friendly, everyone is nice. There's a pool that's very nice (if not super large) and we are less than a minute to the park. It's great if your dog doesn't bark, or if you have a cat. Definitely pet friendly. Honestly, it's a nice place, it's just wrong for us (or anyone with a fearful dog).
