Located on 1/2 acre in West Menlo Park near Alameda de las Pulgas & Santa Cruz Ave. We're located very close to Stanford University. A few details: * 180 sq ft unfurnished cottage, NO KITCHEN* Bathroom with a shower stall, toilet and small sink* Wall of built in bookshelves* Screened windows on two sides of the cottage* Cats are okay (with an additional $600 deposit). NO DOGS.* Rent includes water and electricity* A beige carpet was added by the current tenant.* Available March 1, 2013 The cottage does not have a kitchen. You are welcome to bring a small refrigerator, microwave and toaster oven. In addition, the photos show a wall heater and dresser that have since been removed. You will need to provide your own space heater for the cottage. The last tenant installed a carpet and so there is now a beige carpet throughout the cottage. The cottage is offered on a month to month basis as a sublet from the tenant in the main house and the rent is due on the last day of each month. The property owner is a developer with plans to subdivide the property and build several houses. In the main house we have a month to month lease with a 60-day notice clause from the owner. So far, we have been in the house on a month to month basis for 6.5+ years and have not seen anything to indicate that the development will move forward anytime soon. That said, anyone renting the cottage must understand that if the owner does get his permits, we will all have 60-days to relocate. The sub-lease will be month to month. We are looking for a renter who is interested in staying long-term. We are only considering applicants who are interested in making this their home for the foreseeable future. 1st & last month's rent plus a $600 security deposit to move in. There is an additional pet deposit of $600 if you are bringing a pet. Reference and credit check required. A $35 credit check processing fee will be collected from applicants at the time of filling out the application. I will be showing the cottage on Saturday, March 9th and if necessary, Sunday, March 10th.
