I'm a 27 year old male working professional at a marketing agency in downtown Chicago and I'm looking for a roommate to move into my current apartment, starting September 1st in the Jefferson Park neighborhood.The unit is close to CTA and PACE bus lines that go directly to the Jefferson Park CTA blue line train/bus station (or a 15-18 minute walk). I take the bus to the blue line each day for work with no problems. The Metra is also within walking distance. The room is on the second floor of a two-story house. The landlord and his wife live downstairs and are very friendly and attentive. It can fit a twin sized bed, dresser and small desk, and it has a window and a walk in closet. Because it's slightly smaller, your rent would be $525. We would split utilities (gas, electric, and internet).The shared living room is spacious and there is an area off to the side that you can use as additional space/an office. The apartment is partially furnished with a futon, coffee table, and TV. The kitchen is filled with pots, pans and utensils that you are welcome to use as long as you don't leave a mess.Amenities include:- Free on-street parking- Coin laundry in basement- Dishwasher- Central air- Plenty of shopping/food within 5 minutes drive of each direction- Shared Bathroom- Sun-room- Backyard access- Close to public transit- Basement storage- Family friendly neighborhood with park right across the streetA little about myself: I enjoy singing barbershop, entertainment/films, motion graphics animation, new technology, and occasional fancy cooking. I moved to Chicago about a year ago and have enjoyed exploring it so far. I'm looking for a roommate who has a full-time job, who is mature and keeps things tidy, but also likes hanging out.The room is available September 1st, but I would like to secure this ASAP, so please contact if you are interested in taking a tour.
