I am a single, straight, retired school teacher/coach who currently lives in Monticello, MN. My home is MN. is sale pending, and I will hopefully close on the final sale of home some time in Sept/Oct. I used to live in Geneseo, and am moving back there as soon as my home in MN. sells. I have a contingent purchase agreement on a 2800 sq. ft. modern home in a quiet upscale neighborhood in the Geneseo proper. If you are not familiar with the area....Geneseo's southern border is Interstate 80, and it is 20 min. from Rock Island and Moline, IL. and 25 min. from Davenport and Bettendorf, IA. It is an upscale community, and a terrific place to live. Chicago is about 2 hrs away. You will not sign a contract/lease. I operate on a handshake. When you decide to move out, I ask only that you give me a months notice if possible. Deposit is $125. Briefly about me...I value my faith/family/friends, am pretty easy going, like anything outdoors especially fishing and boating (I have two boats), fitness, reading, played basketball in college, and like to travel. In the winter, I substitute teach and also have a shed refurbishing business. I already have 2 cats. If you have one and it's potty trained, we can talk about it staying here. As much as I love dogs, they are a no. I am looking for mature people to rent 2 of the bedrooms in this home in Geneseo. Both bedrooms have plenty of closet space for your clothes. I would occupy the 3rd bedroom. We would share the home and you will have full use of the kitchen, washer and dryer, and other living areas of the home, etc. The home will be fully furnished and has all the amenities of a modern home....AC, cable TV, wireless internet, bathrooms on the main level and in the basement, fireplace, patio, two car attached garage, etc. There will be garage space for the first person who moves into the home, and possibly the second...there will be parking on the property for everyone else. You will need to provide your own bed, nite stand, dressers, etc. If you have other furniture, there is a good possibility we can find storage space for it in my home. I am not a neatness freak...still I would expect you to keep our home picked up and clean. It's pretty simple...if you make a mess in our living area, you clean it up. If you are a smoker, you will smoke outside. If you use drugs, don't waste our time by contacting me. Rent and utilities are $400/month to be paid on the first of the each month. I have plenty of references, starting with my former MS Principal and Superintendent of Schools at Geneseo. I would want references from you.
