This is a very nice room. It is freshly painted and has a new carpet. It has high ceilings, plenty of natural light and air. We provide basic furniture for no additional charge, if you want it. Bathrooms are shared. We do not have a kitchen, but we supply a refrigerator and microwave in your room, and there are a number of inexpensive restaurants in the area. High speed internet is available from the usual providers. When comparing prices to other rooms, please note that here owner pays utilities, a savings to you of $100 - $200 per month. The location is excellent. Easy access to San Francisco, the University of California at Berkeley, downtown Berkeley, West Berkeley, downtown Oakland, and other East Bay points via public transportation. Parking is usually not difficult. The local bus stop is one block away. Mc Arthur BART is about eight blocks away and can be accessed via a free local shuttle bus. We are a short walk to Safeway, 7-Eleven, B of A, Target, Arismendi Bakery, Subway, Wing Stop, Starbucks, Panda Express, and many restaurants including Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, etc. The neighborhood would be considered urban up and coming. Our tenants are generally very nice people who get along well. Several tenants have been here for more than ten years. We prefer a lease ending April thirtieth, however we are happy to accommodate short-term tenants for an additional charge. We have had the same manager since 1973.
