Hi. I will soon be new to northern Virginia. I am looking to be a roommate for a person who is already established in a house or an apartment setting. My preference is for a long-term situation (i.e., 6+ months), which will give me plenty of time to adjust to my new surroundings. The start date would be late January or early February. I would like to live in the Fort Belvoir area. I have yet to determine what I would be willing to pay for rent, but I will let you know ASAP if plans begin to take hold. Thanks.Personal characteristics: 35-year-old professional, white male who currently works outside of northern Virginia. Easy going, responsible with a good sense of humor. Clean and neat. Very quiet and relaxed. Social drinker, but not interested in having parties. Can supply references upon request, including a brother of my first-ever roommate (I do not have contact with this deadbeat roommate, as he and his mother were pathological liars and manipulators. Long story there.) as well as my second, third roommates, and fourth roommates. Have had roommates since December 2008.Roommate must have the following qualifications: Good moral standing. Clean, considerate, neat, tidy, responsible, reliable, respectful, friendly, dependable, mature, trustworthy, honest, fun. No drama. Must pay rent on time. Disease and drug-free. Must have own transportation. Be willing to share cleaning responsibilities.
