I am a graduate student at Duke and am renting out my apartment for the summer, as I am planning to be out of town May - mid August. The apartment is a 1 BR / 1 BA at The Heights LaSalle, which is near Duke's West Campus. It has a large floor plan, with plenty of room to entertain. The facilities at the Heights are modern and very nice. There is a clubhouse with a gym, meeting rooms, and a Mac lab. There is also a saltwater pool, outdoor grilling equipment, and an outdoor fireplace next to the clubhouse. The clubhouse also serves a continental breakfast Monday - Friday. There is ample gated parking for your car(s) as well as for any guests you may have. It is really a nice place to spend a summer with all of the resort-style amenities. The apartment comes fully furnished, as I don't plan to move the furniture over the summer. The bed is queen-sized, and there is a large chest of drawers as well as plenty of closet space for two people. The kitchen has all the dishes you would need to cook. I can leave towels and sheets if you need them as well. There is a washer and dryer in the unit. The rent is $1150 / month.
