Unique roommate opportunity. Rent a beautiful furnished (or unfurnished) room in a large historic house in Deerfield, NH. Share the house with two other mature adults in their 50s (one male, one female) and 2 cats.Large house with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large dining room, owners office, 3 living rooms, 2 large hallways, a laundry room and small pantry.No smoking in the house. Prefer non or light drinkers. Rent includes utilities, including internet and wi-fi, dishwasher, washer & dryer. Your private phone is not included. Also, we all will chip in for wood for the wood stove and taking care of yard, shoveling, plowing, groceries, household chores, etc.This is a house with a rich history. This was a tavern and inn and stage coach stop. A part of the house was built in the 1750s, the rest in the early 1800s. There is more than 5 acres of land, including a beautiful large lawn, 2 pastures for horses, (if you have a horse you may also rent a stall for your horse) woods, close to lakes and Pawtuckaway State Park and convervation trails. 20 miles or so to Concord and Manchester, Portsmouth is a 45 minute drive, Rochester is also about 20 minutes away.We are hoping to turn this house into an Education and Retreat Center focused on heart-centered education programs that inspire people and children to live the passion in their hearts, reconnect with the people and the planet, facilitate inner and outer peace and harmony and raise consciousness in a way that makes a difference in our communities, schools, organizations and in the world.... We may be renting space in the house to various individuals and organizations in the community for workshops, meetings, educational programing, sustainable energy programs, cultural and historical programs, etc. We are in the seed stages of all of this.If you are a workshop presenter, healing arts practitioner, counselor, educator, etc., you may also be interested in renting space within the house at times for your own sessions and events. We will also keep some time free for quiet time at home for those of us living there on a full-time basis.The house has beautifully been restored inside, the outside is still a work in progress, so if you love beautifying things or are a gardener or have carpentry or other skills, that is great, too!Musicians and artists are invited to apply. One of us is a writer, musician, workshop leader, coach and spiritually-oriented teacher and entrepreneur. The other loves motorcycles, ATVs, Italian cooking, travel, works hard and is out of the house often for work and school (IT training in process)If you are innovative, creative, spiritually oriented, are technically savvy, or have other skills that complement the vision and the people, we look forward to talking with you!
